What If Susan Couldn't Sing?
This article first appeared in the CHRISTIAN RESEARCH JOURNAL, volume 37, number 06 (2014).
LAURA’S STORY
For decades, legalized abortion has been slickly marketed, or “packaged,” by the feminist movement and the abortion industry as “empowerment” for women.
ABORTION AND RAPE: FOUR STEPS FOR COMPASSIONATE ENGAGEMENT
Is abortion justified in case of rape? For the pro-lifer, few challenges provoke fear like this one. But I have good news. You can respond persuasively if you’ll remember four simple steps.
THE ART OF ARGUING WELL
A hallmark virtue of the Christian life is compassion. Few words elicit a warmer response from us. But one act of compassion is often overlooked, or even disparaged, within the Christian community to the peril of our effectiveness in pro-life ministry:the art of arguing, and arguing well.
"I'm Offended"
I’m occasionally asked how students respond to my presentations in schools. As you might expect, the individual responses vary. However, because the high schools I speak at are either Catholic or Protestant, a good number of the students I encounter are pro-life and respond very favorably.
DAZED AND CONFUSED?
Many abortion-choice advocates would like us to believe that “no one knows when human life begins” and that there’s no consensus on the matter. The inference is obvious enough: if people cannot agree on when human life (or personhood) begins, abortion must be morally permissible.
WHO’S WAGING THE WAR ON WOMEN? FOLLOW THE MONEY
It’s getting old, but we continue to hear from many in the media and from the well-funded abortion machine that conservatives, especially pro-lifers, are “waging a war on women.”
WISDOM CALLING
Legalized abortion will come to an earlier demise when the pro-life movement enjoys greater pastoral influence and leadership in the battle for life. Thankfully, there are pastors who faithfully blow Ezekiel’s trumpet on the issue of abortion.
